Dominican Republic government ISO certifications

Overview

Dominican Republic government agencies have recently achieved international ISO certifications for quality, anti-bribery, and compliance management.

The National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (INTRANT) obtained triple certification for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 37001:2025, and ISO 37301:2021. Executive Director Milton Morrison stated these milestones aim to strengthen institutionalism and build a “modern, results-oriented public administration.”

Following this, the Ministry of Interior and Police (MIP) received recertification for ISO 9001 and ISO 37001:2025. These certifications, granted by the Dominican Institute for Quality (INDOCAL), cover firearm license renewals, procurement, and nationality certification. Minister Faride Raful noted the achievement represents an institutional transformation, moving away from previous weaknesses that included “over 150 unresolved findings.”
