Dominican Olympic Committee appoints electoral commission

The Executive Committee of the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) has announced the members of the electoral commission responsible for organizing the upcoming elections for the organization’s new authorities. The election process, which will determine the composition of the Executive Committee for the 2026-2030 period, is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 2, at the Juan Ulises García Saleta hall.

The electoral commission will be chaired by Samuel Arias Arzeno, a lawyer and judge of the First Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice. The commission also includes Dionisio Guzmán, president of the Dominican Sports Hall of Fame, and journalist Jorge Torres, former president of the Association of Sports Chroniclers of Santo Domingo (ACD).

The commission must be ratified by the Ordinary General Assembly, which is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, at the COD headquarters.
