Dominican Republic institutions strengthen social protection and emergency responses

In the Dominican Republic, the Cabinet of Women, Adolescents, and Girls, led by Minister Gloria Reyes, has coordinated with over twenty institutions to improve responses to violence and social protection. A key development includes the interoperability between the National Emergency and Security 9-1-1 System and the Ministry of Women’s *212 emergency line, which facilitates better data exchange and coordinated responses to violence cases.

Additionally, the social development agency Supérate and the National Intelligence Directorate (DNI) have signed an agreement to strengthen cybersecurity. This partnership aims to protect sensitive information related to families receiving social subsidies and to train technical teams to prevent and respond to cyber threats, ensuring the security of public management data.
