Dominican Republic and Venezuela issue weather alerts for heavy rain

The Dominican Republic's Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) warned that Sunday will bring strong afternoon showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds across several provinces, with temperatures reaching 31‑33 °C. The agency kept flood, river‑rise and landslide alerts active, urging residents to stay hydrated, wear light clothing and avoid prolonged sun exposure.

Venezuela's National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) forecasted variable‑intensity precipitation for Monday morning in multiple states, including Amazonas, Bolívar, Anzoátegui, the Central region, Lara and others, with partly cloudy skies elsewhere.

Both agencies emphasized the need for public vigilance given the expected heavy rain and potential hazards.
