ANDECLIP cancels planned health‑service suspension after court order and ministerial talks

The National Association of Private Clinics (ANDECLIP) had announced a suspension of medical services to affiliates of ARS Primera and ARS Futuro, affecting more than 1.4 million patients. The Tribunal Superior Administrativo (TSA) issued a precautionary measure ordering ANDECLIP to refrain from the suspension, citing a threat to the constitutional right to health. Following mediation by Labour Minister Eddy Olivares and the National Social Security Council, the parties reached an agreement, and ANDECLIP lifted the planned shutdown. As a result, health services for ARS Primera and ARS Futuro affiliates will continue uninterrupted while negotiations on tariff updates proceed. The Directorate of Information and Defense of Social Security Affiliates (DIDA) and the Dominican Medical College have called for continued dialogue to resolve the underlying financial dispute.
