Dominican Republic expands motorcycle safety through inspections and rider training
In the Dominican Republic, the Dirección General de Seguridad de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (Digesett) reaffirmed its commitment to road safety by conducting ongoing enforcement operations aimed at motorcycle riders, in compliance with Law 63-17.
Separately, a cross-sector initiative during Mayo Amarillo saw inDrive, INTRANT, and Nippy implement a comprehensive safety-training program for motorcyclists, reaching more than 1,000 riders in the country. The effort included a virtual workshop and coordinated incentives aimed at promoting safer mobility, launched in the context of the Mayo Amarillo campaign.
Together, these actions illustrate ongoing collaboration between government agencies and private companies to enhance motorcycle safety in the Dominican Republic.
