Dominican Republic launches National Tourism Road Signage Plan
The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Tourism and RD Vial have launched a National Tourism Road Signage Plan. The initiative aims to standardize, modernize, and optimize road orientation across the country's primary tourist destinations.
Minister of Tourism David Collado stated that the plan will facilitate land accessibility through a clear hierarchy of directional and preventive signs. The project is designed to improve visitor experience and road safety while consolidating the visual identity of various destinations under institutional guidelines. RD Vial Director Hostos Rizik Lugo noted that the program creates a safety ecosystem that strengthens the nation's image as a tourist destination.
The first phase of the plan will be implemented in La Altagracia, El Seibo, Samaná, Puerto Plata, Pedernales, María Trinidad Sánchez, and Santiago.
