El Faro beach San Pedro de Macorís Luis Abinader tourism renovation RD$67 million

President Luis Abinader and Tourism Minister David Collado inaugurated the renovated El Faro beach in San Pedro de Macorís. The project, carried out by the Ministry of Tourism through the Committee for Infrastructure in Tourist Zones (Ceiztur), cost RD 67 million and restored 570 metres of shoreline covering 12 398 m².

The works added parking, improved roads, playgrounds, a volleyball court, public restrooms, drainage, lighting, a police‑tourism post and facilities for fishermen. Abinader announced related initiatives, including a new Infotep headquarters, ongoing road paving, a water‑supply project and a program to issue property titles in the province, all aimed at boosting tourism and local quality of life.
