Dominik Drdul under investigation for attempted child pornography

Trnava Criminal Police have launched a criminal investigation into former Slovak National Council MP Dominik Drdul for the attempted production of child pornography and the attempted endangerment of the moral upbringing of youth.

Reports indicate that Drdul, a former member of the OĽANO party (now Hnutie Slovensko), engaged in sexualized electronic communication with profiles posing as 13-year-old girls. The investigation revealed that the interlocutors were actually a predator hunter rather than actual minors. Drdul has invoked his right to privacy in response to the allegations.

Igor Matovič, leader of Hnutie Slovensko, has distanced himself from the former MP, stating that Drdul was never a member of the movement and that they have not cooperated for years. Slovak Prosecutor General Maroš Žilinka confirmed that the prosecution is acting ex officio regarding the reported communications involving fictitious children.
