Domino’s Pizza outlets in Maharashtra face license suspensions
The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the food-business licenses of four Domino’s Pizza outlets operated by Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. following a series of inspections that revealed significant food safety and hygiene violations.
The affected locations include three outlets in Mumbai—Vile Parle West, Borivali West, and R-City Mall in Ghatkopar—and one outlet in Malkapur, Karad, within the Satara district.
According to regulatory findings, the outlets exhibited multiple deficiencies, including inadequate sanitation, pest control issues, improper food storage, and insufficient temperature monitoring. Inspectors also noted a lack of proper segregation between raw and ready-to-eat foods, incomplete food-safety documentation, and issues with potable water testing and hygiene facilities. The regulatory action was taken under the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011.
