Domovinski pokret proposes budget amendments in Croatian Parliament
Dubravka Lipovac Pehar, representing the Domovinski pokret (Homeland Movement) party, has proposed several amendments during the debate on the budget rebalance in the Croatian Parliament. The proposed measures focus on demographic support, regional development, and cultural preservation.
Key proposals include providing financial assistance for families with four or more children to co-finance the purchase of seven- or more-seater vehicles. Additionally, the party seeks to expand the boat pier in Vukovar by 130 berths and allocate funds for the investigation of the Husina pit to determine the fate of victims. The amendments also call for the restoration of religious sites, specifically mentioning the church in Gvozda and the parish in the Sinj area.
Lipovac Pehar stated that these amendments are intended to preserve cultural, religious, and historical heritage rather than express dissatisfaction with the current government. Meanwhile, opposition members raised concerns regarding slowing economic growth, high inflation, and decreased investments during the parliamentary session.
