Don Stockwell linked to political donations and legislative visit

Event producer Don Stockwell Ulloa, currently detained as part of the ‘Caso Éxodo’ investigation involving alleged drug trafficking and money laundering, provided significant in-kind donations to the Unidos Podemos political party. Financial records submitted to the Supreme Elections Tribunal (TSE) reveal that between June and July 2025, Stockwell contributed over ₡14 million to cover expenses for the party’s National Assembly, including logistics, airfare, lodging, and artist fees.

Separately, Deputy Esmeralda Britton addressed Stockwell’s recent presence at the Legislative Assembly. Britton clarified that Stockwell attended a meeting alongside Cordell Broadus and Quincy Jones II to discuss a cultural festival planned for December. The deputy stated that the meeting was coordinated by an advisor to explore potential involvement from Snoop Dogg and to showcase Costa Rican Afro-descendant culture. Britton noted that the legislature was unaware of the criminal investigation involving Stockwell at the time of the visit.
