Trump approval hits 33% as US support for Iran war declines
A new Reuters/Ipsos poll indicates that President Donald Trump’s approval rating has hit a historic low of 33 percent. This decline coincides with waning public support for the ongoing military conflict with Iran, which has seen support drop to 31 percent. Even support among Republicans has decreased from 77 percent in March to 69 percent.
Economic concerns are mounting as the conflict has contributed to rising US gasoline prices, which have increased by more than 1 USD per gallon. In response, the Trump administration has announced ‘Operation Economic Outcast,’ a campaign led by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to target Iran’s revenue sources, including oil exports.
Amidst the conflict, President Trump has made claims regarding the health of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Trump stated in an interview that he believes Khamenei is alive but has sustained serious injuries to the left side of his body.
