Donald Trump attacks Rep. Debbie Dingell over Lake Ontario renaming

Donald Trump has launched a social media attack against Representative Debbie Dingell, D-Mich., following her criticism of his proposal to rename Lake Ontario to Lake America. In a post on Truth Social, Trump referred to the congresswoman as ‘Debbie Dingbat’ and included a photo of her and her late husband, Congressman John Dingell, with that label.

Dingell has characterized the renaming proposal as a distraction from significant economic issues, including trade wars and rising costs for American workers. She stated that the President should focus on the economy rather than ‘arts and crafts in the Oval.’ Trump defended his past actions regarding the late Congressman Dingell while criticizing Dingell for her ongoing opposition to his presidency.
