Jeanine John Taele arrested at Trump golf club before President's visit FAST-MOVING
On Sunday, August 4 2026, 38‑year‑old Jeanine John Taele of Downey, California, was arrested at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Los Angeles County. Deputies said he was walking the course taking photographs and video and appeared to be monitoring security‑planning activities. A pat‑down revealed a 16‑round magazine of hollow‑point ammunition in his pants pocket and a loaded pistol with a round chambered in his vehicle. A subsequent search of his home uncovered an illegally modified AR‑platform rifle, a 1911 .45‑caliber pistol, body armor, high‑capacity magazines, bulk pistol and rifle ammunition, radio‑signal devices and several notebooks containing “concerning statements.” Taele is also under investigation by the El Segundo Police Department for a robbery. The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and the U.S. Secret Service are assisting the investigation, which officials say has found no credible threat to the community. The arrest occurred hours before President Donald Trump’s scheduled Republican National Committee fundraiser at the same golf club.
