Donald Trump faces reported Iranian assassination plot, says Lara Trump
On July 10, Lara Trump appeared on Fox News to discuss an Israeli intelligence report that Iran had devised a new plan to assassinate President Donald Trump. The report, cited by the Wall Street Journal, builds on Iran’s longstanding threats after the 2020 killing of General Qassem Soleimani and follows previous attempts on Trump’s life, including a 2024 rally attack in Pennsylvania and an April 2026 breach at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
Trump told reporters he was on “every single one of their lists,” describing the threat as “commonplace.” The White House directed questions to those comments. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that he and Trump spoke the same day, agreeing to continue coordination and that Israel had shared the intelligence with the United States.
The tension escalated after a joint U.S.–Israeli strike that killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei; mourners at his funeral displayed banners calling for Trump’s death, underscoring the heightened hostility.
