Putin may meet Xi and Trump at APEC summit in China
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin may meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Shenzhen, China, scheduled for November 18–19. While Putin and Xi have already agreed to meet in China, it remains uncertain whether the encounter will be a trilateral meeting or separate bilateral sessions.
Regarding the G20 summit in Miami, Florida, Peskov noted that a decision on Putin's participation has not yet been made, though Russia intends to participate actively in the G20's work. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that Washington has extended an invitation to Putin for the December meeting. Peskov remarked that while Russia appreciates the invitation, bilateral relations between Russia and the United States remain in poor condition.
