Donald Trump may resume military operations against Iran

U.S. officials have indicated that President Donald Trump may order a resumption of large-scale military operations against Iran following the upcoming midterm elections in November. This possibility arises as recent diplomatic efforts mediated by Qatar have yielded minimal results.

Qatari mediator Ali Al-Dowai met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in New York to discuss a two-page settlement proposal. The plan aimed to address Iran’s demand for the lifting of the U.S. maritime blockade in exchange for nuclear concessions from Tehran. Following these discussions, Al-Dowai also met with Jared Kushner and other U.S. officials in Washington, with Vice President Vance attending part of the meeting.

Despite initial optimism from the White House regarding constructive talks and Iranian flexibility on nuclear issues, the atmosphere shifted when President Trump stated on Truth Social that he had offered nothing to Iran. The current deadlock, characterized by mutual accusations and unyielding positions, has increased the likelihood of renewed military conflict.
