Donald Trump threatens Iran with missile launch after Khamenei funeral

U.S. President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that 1,000 missiles are loaded and pointed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with additional missiles ready to follow immediately. The statement came after the funeral of Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, where some demonstrators displayed signs calling for Trump’s death and that of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Washington reiterated its demand that Tehran reopen the Strait of Hormuz and cease attacks on commercial vessels, a condition Iran has rejected while insisting on controlling the waterway and charging fees. The U.S. also said the cease‑fire between the sides has ended, but negotiations continue, and it is considering further military options and expanded sanctions. Iran’s foreign minister travelled to Oman for a new round of talks on the crisis.
