Donald Trump vows continued air strikes on Iran, calls cease‑fire pact a test

President Donald Trump told listeners of a conservative radio program on 13 May that the United States would continue bombing Iran tonight and tomorrow, saying Iran could “only shout”. He described the cease‑fire memorandum with Tehran as a “test” with little significance, stating Iran had failed to respect it.

U.S. Central Command confirmed a night airstrike against Iranian targets at 16:45 UTC, the third consecutive overnight operation, intended to reduce Iran’s capacity to attack civilian vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump also mentioned a proposed 20 % “security fee” on oil shipments through the strait and a forthcoming nationwide address. He referenced the deep underground Iranian facility “Pickaxe Mountain” and noted cooperation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
