Donald Trump vows to chase Iran, Ukraine, Lebanon peace after G7 summit

At the G7 summit in Evian‑les‑Bains, France, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States and Iran have reached a preliminary agreement to end the Middle‑East conflict, with a formal peace accord slated for signing in Geneva on June 19. He said the agreement will allow ships to transit the Strait of Hormuz without tolls, reopening a critical oil and gas route.

Trump added that the United States will now focus on ending the war between Ukraine and Russia and on concluding the fighting in Lebanon. He claimed to have spoken recently with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, both reportedly open to U.S. mediation. French President Emmanuel Macron congratulated Trump on the Iran breakthrough.
