Donald Trump Warns of 1,000 Missiles Targeting Iran Amid Rising US‑Iran Conflict

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it struck two vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and launched ballistic missiles at the U.S. Al‑Udeid air base in Qatar, claiming to have hit the base’s maintenance and command facilities. The United States responded with a third round of airstrikes, saying it had hit about 140 Iranian military targets, including missile sites, naval assets and ammunition depots.

President Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social, threatened that “1,000 missiles are already locked and ready” to strike Iranian sites if any attempt is made on his life, stating the order would remain in effect for at least a year. The remarks come as Tehran vows retaliation following the recent attacks and the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s son. Regional partners, including the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, reported air‑defence alerts and explosions, while Qatar confirmed it intercepted missile attacks.

U.S. officials warned that any Iranian retaliation would provoke a “severe response,” and the White House has called on Iran to halt attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and keep navigation routes open.
