Donald Trump withdraws promise to license Patriot missile technology to Ukraine

The refusal to share this technology comes as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warns of a looming ‘bomb winter.’ Ukraine is facing a significant shortage of air defense capabilities as Russia prepares for a winter offensive targeting energy infrastructure and urban centers. Recent reports indicate that Ukrainian air defenses have struggled to intercept large-scale ballistic missile attacks, including a recent strike on the Kyiv region where 24 ballistic missiles were launched.
