MAGA Inc. announces $10 million ad spend for Texas Senate race

MAGA Inc., a super PAC associated with Donald Trump, has announced a $10 million expenditure for television and digital advertisements in the Texas Senate race. According to Federal Election Commission filings, the spending is split evenly: $5 million to support Republican nominee Ken Paxton and $5 million to target Democratic nominee James Talarico.

This marks the first major general election expenditure by the group during this midterm cycle. The group, which holds at least $400 million in cash, aims to portray Talarico as a candidate focused on high taxes. The race is considered highly competitive, as Democrats seek to flip a Senate seat in Texas for the first time since 1993.

Other political entities are also active in the race, including Elon Musk’s America PAC, which has provided financial support to Paxton. The contest is viewed as a critical battleground for Republicans attempting to maintain their majority in the U.S. Senate.
