Dong Nai auditor finds hundreds of irregular social housing applications

The Dong Nai City Inspectorate audited three social‑housing (NOXH) projects—Long Thành, Thái Thành‑Thuận Lợi and Long Bình Tân—and identified hundreds of purchase applications with information that did not match tax records, labour contracts or social‑insurance data. In the Long Thành project the developer submitted 677 applications for 628 apartments, and many applicants used income certificates from employers where they were not employed, or lacked any social‑insurance record at the cited firms.

The inspection also uncovered excess applications in the Thái Thành‑Thuận Lợi and Long Bình Tân projects, with numerous cases of income verification that could not be corroborated. The Inspectorate concluded that the Construction Department failed to detect these anomalies and recommended that the city leadership direct a comprehensive review of all records, tighten selection procedures, and increase transparency. Developers who do not comply may face suspension of price‑approval decisions, and any evidence of criminal violations will be referred to law‑enforcement authorities.
