Dong Nai bookstore owner arrested for selling counterfeit textbooks

Dong Nai police have arrested Nguyen Tang Tien, the owner of Tang Tien Bookstore, on charges of trafficking counterfeit goods. The investigation revealed that between April 2024 and the present, Tien purchased approximately 33,809 counterfeit textbooks, workbooks, and English language books.

The counterfeit items belong to the ‘Chan troi sang tao’ series published by the Vietnam Education Publishing House. The total value of the counterfeit goods is estimated at nearly 598 million VND. Authorities have issued a decision to prosecute the suspect and have conducted searches of his residence as the investigation continues.
