Dong Nai city posts fourth‑highest budget revenue and reviews major infrastructure projects

In the first half of 2026, Dong Nai province collected VND 56.529 trillion in state budget revenue, a 27 % increase year‑on‑year, placing it fourth nationwide after Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Hai Phong. The city’s GRDP grew 9.81 % over the same period, though the 2026 budget target of VND 150 trillion remains unmet, requiring an additional VND 93 trillion in the second half.

During the same council session, the city’s People's Council examined several key infrastructure proposals: a new political‑administrative centre on a 100‑hectare site in Biên Hòa 1 industrial park, extensions of metro lines linking the city to Long Thanh International Airport, new bridges (Cát Lái, Long Hung, Phú Mỹ) across the Đồng Nai River, a 16‑km ring road around Núi Chứa Chan, and a VND 18 000 trillion eco‑tourism development on the mountain. These projects aim to improve connectivity with Ho Chi Minh City, boost regional economic growth and develop tourism.
