Dong Nai launches major road projects linking to Ho Chi Minh City expressway

The 8‑lane Ma Da forest highway segment from the Ma Da bridge to Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4 was inaugurated. It is a 13 km public‑private partnership project costing about VND 17 000 billion, built with a low‑impact bridge‑deck design to preserve wildlife corridors. Construction is slated for 18 months and will connect the region with Long Thanh airport, the Cái Mép‑Thị Vải deep‑water port and key logistics hubs.

The Nguyen Hữu Cảnh boulevard, a 15.5 km arterial with six lanes in each direction, is also under a PPP contract with an investment of roughly VND 4 600 billion. It links National Highway 51 to the Ho Chi Minh City‑Long Thanh‑Dầu Giây expressway, includes parallel service lanes, drainage, lighting and green spaces, and aims to ease traffic on National Highway 51 while spurring development of riverside urban districts in Đồng Nai.
