Dong Nai targets land auction efficiency to boost budget revenue

Authorities in Dong Nai are taking decisive measures to prevent land speculation and improve the efficiency of land-based revenue collection. During a recent meeting, officials addressed the challenges regarding 10 approved land recovery projects covering over 2,400 hectares, which are intended to support a budget revenue goal of 150 trillion VND.

Currently, none of these projects have completed the land recovery process, delaying scheduled auctions. Nguyen Cao Tai, Director of the Dong Nai Land Fund Development Center, reported that while four sites are ready for auction in 2026, the remaining six require further compensation, site clearance, and planning adjustments, with auctions expected in 2027. Efforts are underway to complete compensation work by September and finalize auction procedures throughout the latter half of 2026.
