Donkey attacks three people in northern Germany

A donkey named Freddy caused injuries to three people after escaping near a roundabout in Holssel, part of Geestland in Lower Saxony, Germany. The incident occurred on Friday, August 21, near the coastal city of Cuxhaven.

According to police, the donkey had escaped alongside a female companion. When a 58-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman stopped their motorhome to attempt to restrain the animals, the donkey became aggressive and jumped into the vehicle. Once inside, the animal began kicking and biting the occupants, resulting in minor injuries.

A 33-year-old woman who also stopped to assist was bitten, knocked to the ground, and kicked, requiring hospital treatment for her injuries. The situation was eventually resolved when the donkey's owner arrived and brought the animal under control. Authorities stated that the reason for the donkey's aggressive behavior remains unclear.
