Donnie Wahlberg survives private jet runway excursion in Las Vegas

Actor and singer Donnie Wahlberg was aboard a Dassault Falcon 50 private jet that skidded off a runway at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Sunday, October 18. The aircraft, which was carrying eight people and bound for Toronto Pearson International Airport, failed to gain altitude during takeoff. The pilot aborted the takeoff, causing the plane to run out of runway and strike a perimeter fence.

Wahlberg, who had recently concluded a residency with New Kids on the Block, shared a video on Instagram describing the incident as “a rather intense few moments.” He credited the pilots with saving the lives of everyone on board and expressed gratitude that the aircraft avoided hitting heavy equipment, trucks, and dumpsters located near the fence.

Airport officials confirmed there were no known injuries. The incident led to a temporary ground stop and the closure of runways 1R and 1L for safety inspections. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into the cause of the failed takeoff.
