Doosan Bears defeat Samsung Lions 3-1 in KBO League matchup

The Doosan Bears defeated the Samsung Lions 3-1 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium on September 16, moving closer to fourth place in the KBO League. Pitcher Wes Benjamin secured his sixth win of the season, pitching five innings and allowing only one run while recording eight strikeouts.

Doosan's offense was bolstered by a solo home run from Yang Suk-hwan in the fourth inning. The bullpen provided crucial support, with Takada and Kim Taek-yeon pitching three scoreless innings combined, followed by Lee Young-ha securing the save.

Following the victory, Doosan manager Kim Won-hyeong praised the team's defensive stability and the effective relief pitching. Benjamin expressed gratitude to his teammates for their defensive plays and to the coaching staff for supporting his recovery from a minor subscapularis injury.
