Dordogne Police Arrest Two Suspects in Cannabis and Cocaine Trafficking Operation
On May 6, police from the BAC Jour of Périgueux in Dordogne stopped a man who was throwing suspicious objects over the wall of a detention centre. During a search of the suspect, officers found cannabis wrapped in cellophane, and a subsequent raid on his short‑term rental uncovered additional cannabis, cocaine and more than €3,000 in cash.
Further investigations identified a second similar residence that may have been used to supply the drug network. A few days later, a second individual linked to the operation was arrested and presented to a magistrate. Both men are being held pending judicial proceedings.
