Dorival Júnior faces scrutiny after São Paulo loss to Santos

São Paulo FC coach Dorival Júnior has expressed frustration following a 2-1 defeat against Santos at the Morumbis stadium. Despite an early goal by Luciano, Santos secured the victory through two goals from Gabigol. The loss leaves São Paulo in 11th place in the Campeonato Brasileiro, ten points behind Bahia in the race for a Libertadores spot.

Dorival Júnior described the team's current performance as “inexplicable,” noting that on-field production has not translated into consistent results. He also issued a call for internal unity, urging club members to set aside personal interests to support the collective goals of the team.

The defeat follows a volatile period in the coach's career, which has included stints with the Brazilian National Team and Corinthians, as well as a previous successful title run with São Paulo.
