Dorsten to host autumn and family festival

The city of Dorsten will host its autumn and family festival in the old town on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, 2026. Organized by Carina Schmidt and the agency Eventcatzen, the event will transform the marketplace into a zone for food, drinks, and stage programs.

Saturday's festivities include an opening by Mayor Tobias Stockhoff, a lost-and-found auction, and performances by the 'Crazy Tigers' martial arts school and the US-based band 'Dorsten'. Sunday will feature a 'Hollandmarkt' showcasing Dutch products, followed by shopping opportunities in the old town. Musical acts scheduled for the weekend include 'Anne Uke', St. Marien brass music, breaking dancer Sola Moldenhauer, and 'Cover Rocket'.

Additional activities include a book bazaar by the Rotary Club Dorsten, historical vehicle displays from the Oldtimerfreunde Lembeck, and various children's animations.
