Borussia Dortmund completes major transfer window under Ole Book
Borussia Dortmund has concluded a significant transfer window under the direction of new sporting director Ole Book. The club spent approximately 110 million euros on seven new signings, including players such as Konstantinos Karetsas, Giannis Konstantelias, Joey Veerman, Joane Gadou, and Ethan Nwaneri. This strategy has reportedly saved the club around 20 million euros in wages. Head coach Niko Kovac expressed high satisfaction with Book’s work, particularly noting the efficiency of recent late-window acquisitions.
Despite transfer rumors, striker Fabio Silva has decided to remain at the club rather than moving to Turkey.
In other regional news, the A43 motorway between Recklinghausen and Bochum will undergo a full closure in both directions from September 4 to September 7 due to bridge construction and road repairs. Additionally, Dortmund commuters should expect bus service disruptions on Varziner Straße through October 23 due to utility work, affecting lines 415, 461, 469, and NE13.
