DOSİDER urges winter heating system maintenance and safety

The Heating Industry Manufacturers and Businessmen Association (DOSİDER) has issued a call for consumers to have their boilers and central heating systems inspected by authorized services before the winter season begins. The association emphasized that maintenance and repairs must be performed by authorized technicians to ensure both personal and product safety.

DOSİDER warned against the use of unauthorized services and deceptive websites that mimic official providers. Consumers are advised to contact authorized services through the official websites or call centers of their device brands. Additionally, the association stressed the vital importance of ventilation, warning that ventilation vents must never be closed and that no unauthorized modifications should be made to natural gas installations.

To improve energy efficiency, DOSİDER noted that reducing room temperature by just one degree can result in a 6 percent fuel saving. They also recommended testing heating systems before temperatures drop significantly to ensure they are functioning correctly.
