Dosquebradas provides mental health support to students after earthquake
In Dosquebradas, approximately 500 secondary school students at Hogar Nazaret and Los Andes institutions are receiving psychosocial support following an earthquake on August 10. Through the ‘La Vida es Más’ and ‘Amor por la Vida’ strategies, the local Secretary of Health and Social Security is conducting direct interventions to address emotional distress.
Professionals are providing listening spaces and guidance to help students manage symptoms such as fear, irritability, and difficulty concentrating. The program aims to identify signs requiring further assistance and to foster emotional resilience and dialogue among the youth affected by the seismic event.
