Double homicides reported in Guayaquil and Turicato

Two separate incidents of fatal violence were reported in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and Turicato, Mexico.

In the Mapasingue Este sector of Guayaquil, two men aged between 27 and 28 were shot and killed near a staircase connecting the José Mendoza Cucalón school to the Buenos Aires area. Residents reported that the area has become a frequent site for executions, noting five similar cases in the last two months. Investigators recovered three 9mm shell casings from the scene. The victims were unidentified at the time of the report.

In Turicato, Mexico, two unidentified men were found dead on a dirt road between the communities of El Colorína and La Capilla. Local residents discovered the bodies, which showed signs of physical violence and bruising. Regional authorities and forensic specialists have secured the area and are conducting investigations to determine the cause of death.
