Douglas Ruas accuses Paes group of stalling Banco Master CPI

Douglas Ruas, president of the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj), has accused the political group of Eduardo Paes of obstructing the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) regarding Banco Master. Ruas stated that the previous administration did not prioritize the inquiry and claimed his current management is working to expedite various pending commissions by following chronological order.

In a separate political development, Ruas held a campaign event in Duque de Caxias to support his candidacy for the Rio de Janeiro state government. During the event, he declared his support for Flávio Bolsonaro, a move intended to strengthen his appeal among Bolsonarista voters. The campaign event coincided with a simultaneous rally held by the Reis brothers, supporters of the 'BolsoPaes' movement, leading to tension between the opposing political groups.
