Overview

Political tensions in Brazil have escalated regarding investigations into Banco Master. Douglas Ruas, president of the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj), accused the political group of Eduardo Paes of obstructing the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) related to the bank, claiming the previous administration failed to prioritize the inquiry.
