DP World opens new distribution centre in Bang Na, Thailand
DP World has opened a new 10,000-square-metre contract logistics distribution centre in Bang Na, Thailand. Located within a modern industrial park in the Greater Bangkok metropolitan area, the facility provides connectivity to Laem Chabang Port and manufacturing hubs along the Eastern Economic Corridor.
The centre operates 24/7 to provide storage and distribution for high-value, time-sensitive goods, including automotive cargo, semiconductors, and consumer electronics. Jeanie Tan, Chief Commercial Officer for Logistics in Asia Pacific at DP World, stated that the investment provides customers with additional capacity and connects them to the company’s broader freight and logistics capabilities to reduce complexity and respond to changing demand.
This expansion is part of a broader regional strategy for DP World in Asia Pacific. Following recent investments in Singapore and Johor, Malaysia, the company plans to open additional facilities in Kuala Lumpur and the Philippines later this year to strengthen its integrated logistics services across Southeast Asia.
