DP World logistics expansion in Thailand

Overview

DP World has opened a 10,000-square-metre contract logistics distribution centre in Bang Na, Thailand. Located in the Greater Bangkok metropolitan area, the facility connects manufacturing hubs in the Eastern Economic Corridor to Laem Chabang Port.

The centre operates 24/7 to manage high-value and time-sensitive supply chains, specifically targeting the automotive, semiconductor, and consumer electronics sectors. Jeanie Tan, Chief Commercial Officer for Logistics in Asia Pacific at DP World, stated that the investment provides customers with additional capacity and connects them to the company’s broader freight and logistics capabilities to “reduce complexity and respond to changing demand.”

This expansion is part of a wider regional strategy in Asia Pacific. Following recent investments in Singapore and Johor, Malaysia, DP World plans to open further facilities in Kuala Lumpur and the Philippines later this year to strengthen its integrated logistics services across Southeast Asia.
