Utility providers report power outages and maintenance across Latin America

Various utility companies across Latin America have announced or are managing electrical service disruptions due to maintenance, emergency repairs, and preventive measures.

In Argentina, Edersa is conducting emergency repairs in nine Linea Sur localities, while DPEC in Corrientes is performing preventive maintenance and tree pruning to prepare for El Niño weather patterns. DPEC also issued a warning regarding WhatsApp scams involving fake electricity bill discounts. In Córdoba, EPEC has scheduled outages for network improvements and maintenance. Additionally, the Concordia Electric Cooperative has planned interruptions in Puerto Yeruá and Osvaldo Magnasco for medium and low voltage network work, and Edersa has scheduled maintenance in General Roca.

In Cuba, the Lidio Ramón Pérez thermoelectric plant in Felton has successfully resynchronized with the national grid after repairing a leak in a dome tube. In Peru, SEAL has announced temporary power suspensions in Arequipa, Caravelí, Castilla, and Islay provinces to facilitate transformer replacements and substation cleaning.
