DPR RI to hold fit and proper tests for Bank Indonesia candidates

The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Commission XI has scheduled fit and proper tests for several candidates for leadership positions at Bank Indonesia (BI).

Destry Damayanti, the sole candidate proposed by President Prabowo Subianto for the position of Governor of Bank Indonesia, is scheduled to undergo her assessment on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. On the same day, the commission will also conduct a test for Senior Deputy Governor candidate Aida S. Budiman.

The testing process will continue on Thursday, August 27, 2026, for Deputy Governor candidates Solikin M. Juhro and Anwar Bashor. These candidates were selected by the President and submitted to the DPR via Presidential Letters (Surpres).
