DR Automobiles launches DR PK8 pickup in Europe for €26,900

Italian DR Automobiles introduced the DR PK8 pickup, a rebadged version of China’s JAC T8 Pro, targeting professional users seeking a low‑cost alternative to models such as the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux. The vehicle is built on a dedicated JAC platform, assembled in the Macchia d'Isernia plant in Molise, Italy, with production split between China and Italy.

The DR PK8 is powered by a 2.0‑litre turbo‑diesel engine delivering 136 hp and 320 Nm, paired with a six‑speed manual gearbox. It offers a payload capacity of 830 kg, a towing capacity of 3,500 kg, and a 1,097‑litre rear cargo box. Standard equipment includes 18‑inch alloy wheels, a 10.25‑inch multimedia screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 360° camera, and a sunroof. The model is offered in a single trim at a price of €26,900 (excluding VAT).
