Salman Khan defends Katrina Kaif against body shaming and intrusive paparazzi

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has sparked a conversation regarding body shaming and intrusive paparazzi culture after defending actress Katrina Kaif against online trolls. Following Kaif’s recent public appearance at a Ganpati celebration in Mumbai, social media users criticized her postpartum weight gain. During an episode of Bigg Boss 20, Khan defended the natural physical changes following pregnancy and criticized the practice of photographers taking inappropriate shots of female celebrities from behind.

In response to the backlash, Pakistani RJ Dr Ejaz Waris issued a public apology to Kaif, stating that his previous derogatory remarks were intended as a joke and that he did not mean to cause harm. Other industry figures, including actress Richa Chadha and Sameera Reddy, have also voiced support for Khan’s stance on body positivity.

Additionally, actress Manushi Chhillar was seen setting boundaries with paparazzi at a Mumbai airport, requesting they delete photos taken from uncomfortable angles, echoing the broader discussion on consent and privacy in celebrity photography.
