Dracula Park Transylvania receives construction permit in Miercurea Ciuc

The developers of Dracula Park Transylvania have officially received construction permits from the Miercurea Ciuc municipality. The permit was issued on November 2, a date the developers noted as symbolic due to its coincidence with All Saints' Day.

The proposed 25.6-hectare theme park, located in Zsögödfürdő, is a project led by investor András Lénárd in collaboration with the Italian firm Antonio Zamperla Spa – The Amusement Group. The first phase of the development is expected to require an investment of 56 million euros.

The park's concept focuses on Transylvanian history and folklore, featuring themes related to King Matthias Corvinus and the Dracula legend. Planned attractions include roller coasters, carousels, mirror mazes, and haunted castles, alongside representations of Szekler, Saxon, and Romanian cultures, as well as Ottoman and Roma encampments. The project aims to create 220 direct jobs and attract approximately 600,000 visitors annually, with an anticipated opening in 2027.
