Fortaleza’s Dragão Fashion Brazil 2026 celebrates city’s 300th anniversary
The Dragão Fashion Brazil (DFB) Festival was held from 9 to 12 June 2026 at the Centro Dragão do Mar in Fortaleza, marking the city’s 300‑year anniversary. The four‑day event featured 40 runway shows, live music and street parades that turned the Praia de Iracema and Rua dos Tabajaras into open‑air catwalks.
Designers highlighted regional craft traditions and natural materials. Highlights included Beatriz Castro’s Ethos collection inspired by nature and the figure of the witch, George Azevedo’s “Vento Forte” series drawing on Rio Grande do Norte landscapes, and up‑cycling work by Lindebergue Fernandes. The festival also hosted the Concurso dos Novos, offering a scholarship for a winning student to study in Milan.
The event was presented by Enel Brazil and the Fortaleza City Hall, with institutional support from the Ceará state government, underscoring DFB’s role as a leading platform for authorial fashion in Latin America.
