DRC advances digital administration and youth tech initiatives

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is advancing its digital administration through the creation of a national digital window. Following the adoption of a decree in May and the launch of 'RDC Pass' in June, authorities are preparing a national forum for digital public services scheduled for late August. The initiative aims to create a unified, secure, and interoperable access point to prevent individual ministries from developing isolated platforms, thereby reducing administrative delays and redundant paperwork.

In Goma, digital tools are being highlighted as vital pathways for youth employment and financial autonomy amidst political and security instability. During International Youth Day celebrations, the Collective of Women's Associations for Development (CAFED) organized sessions to discuss how digital literacy and social media can help young Congolese overcome geographic barriers and participate in entrepreneurship despite the country's current challenges.
